We’ve been loving life here on 41st avenue for about six months now. If you’ve been in for a cut during this time, let us first say thank you for making this possible. We hope we’re serving you to the same caliber of you serving us by allowing Waves and Fades to exist. It’s been a bit of a ride thus far, but we couldn’t be more excited to be doing what we’re doing.
With that said, we thought it would be a rad idea to showcase our current efforts and keep everyone in the loop of what’s going on and what to expect in the future! The last month or so has been one of digging into our mission - our “big picture” as a business. We know we want Waves and Fades Barbershop to be a place where the people of Santa Cruz can come, feel relaxed, and get spruced up to look their best. But we also know we want something more. We want to be a place where more than just hair happens. Waves and Fades has a goal of bringing people together, whether that’s inside or out of the shop, and participating in something larger. Something like...the entire Santa Cruz community!
We’ve already brought two distinct Santa Cruz board shapers- Ben Kelly and CJ Nelson - into our shop and are displaying their boards for sale! We’ve put some art on the walls and would love to have tons more from the folks around us. If you’re a big time shredder, we’d love to chat about potentially getting you on our surf team. And as a little glimpse into the future, we have some party plans in the beginning stages where we invite everyone to come and hang out.
Anyways, this is a taste of who we are and where we’re going. If you want to get to know us without having to do any of the conversational heavy lifting, click here to learn a bit about us. We want to keep you in the loop because you are the reason we’re here. Welcome to Waves and Fades Barbershop, where we’re Community Made, Surf and Style. We hope you stay a while.
